A Sophisticated Kohler Wisconsin Wedding — Megan and Jon were wed in beautiful Kohler, Wisconsin. This was their 3rd wedding date and second location change due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Originally they were planning to get married in Las Vegas, Nevada. But to accommodate their guest count and have their closest loved ones be able to attend, they decided on the extraordinary Whistling Straights near their home in Wisconsin.

They began their day getting ready at The Riverbend Estate. A tudor style home built in 1923 that was once he home of Walter and Charlotte Kohler. Walter, then Governor of Wisconsin, commissioned Milwaukee architect Richard Philipp to design the estate and engaged the world-renowned Olmsted Brothers to design the grounds. Well-known for Central Park in New York City and the Harvard and Stanford campuses, the Olmsted Brothers created a landscape in the English tradition for Walter to indulge his deep connection to the natural world.

This house was nothing short of amazing and was a picturesque location and provided a relaxing experience for the bride and groom to begin their wedding day. They had their first look in front and all of their bridal and family portraits there as well. We then headed to Whistling Straights, one of the most renowned gold courses in the Country, where the 2020 Ryder Cup is to be held. They had both their ceremony and reception in tents. Hues of pinks and whites were interlaced through their details. Their youngest son found himself walking up to their parents mid-ceremony and Jon raised him up in his arms, which provided for a emotional moment.

After dinner, the bride changed into her Mira Zwillinger dress for a night of dancing, drinks, and celebration.
